Woohoooo!!!

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Done with my last paper...but the bad news is, there was one COMPULSORY question in which i didn't know the answer...FUCKKKKKKKKKK!!! I so screwed it up! And it was 30/50 marks...OMFG...aaarrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!

So i don't know if i should be happy coz it's over...or be sad coz i screwed up! The stuff we were supposed to read came out for the paper, but the stuff we didn't read became the main question! Hmmmph! It's like we can't catch a break with this lecturer...his papers often become controversial. In a previous paper, he told the student that that paper would be multiple-choice questions...and at the exam hall...it was a few essay questions! WTF...now, this!

We love him, but this is too much! Plus, he has retired a few weeks ago...and this is his legacy??? Damn...hope I don't fail! Please, mein gott, ich bin begging dich! LOL, is that even a sentence? I'm going nuts, i tell ya!

Now...on to moving back home, which would be very very excruciatingly tiring! Just have to wait for the sister's word...hopefully before 5 pm so i could hand back the keys...

And at last...i can do whatever the hell i want without the dreaded books...not that i read them anyway...damn, man...i'm such a lousy student! Lol...what the hell am i gonna end up doing with my life? I should've taken journalism or something like that! I find IR OK, but very academic...i was never excellent at academia, but what's done is done...no regrets! And i would love to take up my masters in journalism or popular culture if there's such a thing...oh, is there anything related to music and movies? OMG, that would be a dream, really!!!

Ok, done with the daydream...you see how my mind wanders? This is what happens when i read or attempt to study...my mind floats away...i'm in a Tokio Hotel concert...AAR concert (which kinda came true!)...BEP concert (which kinda came true!)...Incubus concert (which kinda came true!)...boating on the sea (which kinda came true!)

...

OMFG! Am i gonna get to watch TH now??? Please please let it be so! I'm sending a message to the cosmos...i shall go to Germany to watch them, while holidaying during Oktoberfest and eating all sorts of German bratwurst and Bavarian cuisine :)

Hell, since i'm dreaming, why not continue, eh?

Next, i shall go to France and do all the stuff i wanna do there...then off to Italy to visit all the piazzas, throw a coin at the Trevi Fountain, climb the Spanish Steps, visit the museums...then go off to Tuscany and live in a chateau at a beautiful vineyard while taking a walk around the hills...then before heading back home, i shall attend a masquerade party in Venice, but of course not before going for a ride with a singing gondolier!

Then someday...i shall go to the US and you know...do that thing which i wanna do badly on the Vegas strip? Then, go up north to Alaska to witness Aurora Borealis...and camp at the alpines and fish for trout!

And why not go to Angkor Wat and be dazzled at the serenity of such wonder!

Ahhh, that's the life...possible? Sure! If others can...why can't I?

2nd Week Update

Friday, July 10, 2009

During the 1st week, we were supposed to go here, there and everywhere...especially shopping in Manila...unfortunately, the many cases of A H1N1 made my mom say, "I don't wanna risk it!"...and so that's why we were just in the province since...of course, we went to the malls, but i wanted to see Manila. So, when my dad joined us the week later, we made up our minds to go to Olongapo City...and spend the night at Subic Beach, then go to Manila and shop.

So off we went!

The highlight of my trip here is this particular boat ride...we went quite far, alittle less than 2 hours, visiting other resorts and islands, spotting huge tankers, cruise ships, a port, etc...Subic was a former U.S. naval base, so go figure...many Americans over there. Mostly old men with their prostitutes...something so common, that we weren't even surprised. We, however, booked the family suite which faces the beach...just get over the small barrier, and voila, you can build sandcastles...it's THAT close by.

The boating session is what really got me...I felt so much peace at the serenity...i thanked God at that moment!

After that, it was long trips to Manila, shopping, and who could forget...watching a live band at the Riverbank or something of that sort...man, the band was awesome! They did classic rock tunes my Journey, Toto, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Guns 'n Roses...OMG, the band were "old-timers", as dad says...the vocalist had that voice so suitable for this kind of music; kinda like Steve Perry from Journey! I really loved it.

As usual, dad had to talk to them, buy them drinks and chat...yeah, my dad loves to chat up his fellow musicians...and guess what? They performed and live in Malaysia...some married Malaysians and Singaporeans, then divorced...hahahaha!

AND one of them are best friends with my Malaysian cousin! What a small world!!! Just at that moment, everyone said the same thing..."What a small world, eh?" I don't even know what lead them to talk about my cousin, a DJ...but yeah, that was like a moment of freakish coincidence!

The food? What shall i say bout the food? Some were awesome, and some weren't...it's so easy to feed me, as i'm not really picky...but some were just too 'ughhh'!

You see, there...there are the all-imported Pizza Huts and McDonalds and KFCs...but guess what? They have their very own fast-food chains.

CHOW KING--> a chinese-filipino fast food chain, serving chinese food (though i must say, nothing beats Malaysian chinese food!!! YUMMO!) that aren't spicy...plus, most have sweetish taste, which i don't like!

JOLLIBEE-->a burger-fries kinda fast food chain, serving filipino flavors in American style fast food...there's local flavors and stuff...but i don't really fancy it. Their burger patties have celery or coriander-like flavors which i find not suitable for beef patty burgers...and this is an ultimate sin for me: THEIR SPAGHETTI IS SWEET, SUPER SWEET!!! I don't like it at all!!! I'm sorry, i have my limits! Hahahahaha...

Okok...feeling like crap now, will continue later...i wanna go choke myself to death!

I'm Back!!!

Tuesday, July 07, 2009

Yes, i'm back, but i have too much to say, and i haven't thought of what the heck i'm gonna write, except that i had 2 weeks of total paradoxes!

1st week was a total chill-out session, where i was in the barangay or village in my grandfather's province, Pampanga...where everyone spoke a dialect called Capampangan. My mother spoke it, but i could not even begin to tell you how different it is from Tagalog...at least i could understand Tagalog when people speak it to me, but what? A whole new dialect? Shit...or shall i say "taklak!" (Capampangan for "shit") ...that's the only word i know. Oh, oh...and also "mekeni" which is "c'mon!"

Told you bout the pumping of water and seeing paddy fields, cows, chickens, buffalos, etc...right? Rode on jeepneys and tricycles many times, as that's the main way of getting anywhere around...yeah, my grandpappy has no car, so this is how we rolled, yo! LOL! Fun times...

I have also improved my Tagalog, comprehension-wise, not speaking-wise...i still don't have the confidence to speak, unless it's for fun...hahahaha! I have also gotten addicted to the teleseryes playing on the networks; Totoy Bato and Zorro...LMAO! Seriously! I watched it with my granpa...well, you know me...TV addict! And man, those actors and actresses are attractive...not ALL, but MOST...my new fave Pinoy actor is Ian Veneracion...yummo!

And every night there's a man selling Pan de Sal (some sort of hot buns) which are so fluffy and warm, it's like your very own comfort food! Put some butter or Cheez Whiz on it, and voila...fatso-builder!

That's for the first week...pretty casual...and the time during the 1st week is super-freakin' weird...why? Because time seem to pass rather slowly...i'm dead serious! You know how time passes quickly all the time? In the place where i was, it sure didn't, dudes! It's like you check the clock to see if the hour has passed, and then you find out, "whoah, it's only been 15 minutes? WTF?"

It's THAT weird! Hahahaha...and the day ends earlier...as in, the darkness sets around 6pm, and the morning brightens at 6am. And I, for some reason sleep and wake up early over there! Wow, what an achivement, eh? LMAO! Dad would be sooooo proud!

Continued story on next post...

Friday Night At The Province...

Friday, June 26, 2009

Can't believe i have internet, can't believe i have internet!!! Hahahaha, okok, i didn't expect this place to have it, but yeah, my uncle has this prepaid broadband thingy that we borrowed...well, my sis brought her lappy so i'm borrowing hers!

Anyway, so far...what can i say...culture shock, anyone? Why; coz firstly, we are not in the city, we are in the Barangay aka kampung! So it's basically 'kerbaus' or 'karabaos' as they call it here, paddy fields, tricycles, jeepneys, etc...what fun!

The outbreak of A H1N1 is rampant in Manila, so my mom cancelled our Manila trip for the week till my dad joins us...BOO!!! And also, i have to pump water just to use it! Unbelievable...i shall never complain of anything in Malaysia again! Plus, the roads here are super crayzay!!! Holes, sand, rocks...OMG! But maybe it's just in the kampungs...hmmm? I have been two two provinces so far, my grandad's and my late grandmother's place...but one thing...

THE PEOPLE HERE ARE SUPER DUPER NICE!!! I've never seen anyone with an ounce of cynicism or anything negative here in my family, unlike those in KL, yucks!!! The people here are crazy pleasant!!! It's nuts...but then again...who knows about the other places, right? The kampungs in Malaysia are also ok, right? But what do i know, i don't have one over there...

And they keep feeding us over here...food, food, food! Added to me not exercising...i'm gonna return much fatter than before! Damn!!!

But yay, now i have one over here in Pangasinan and Pampanga...

Next stop: Olongapo Beach and Manila

To my peeps: I miss you guys!!! Mwah from the Philippines...

PS: Most shows here are in tagalog or dubbed in Tagalog...believe it! Even the Korean, Mandarin dramas, etc...except the English ones! And yeah, i've watched some, hahahaha! Interesting... and gorceries here are damn expensive. And petrol too! That is why...I LOVE MALAYSIA!!! Always have, and always will...

I'm Leavin' On A Jetplane...

Sunday, June 21, 2009

I hope this trip releases the me that wants to be free...i hope it tells me that it's only the beginning, this life!

There's many things i hope to accomplish, and going to my other hometown is one of them...AT LAST! I get to learn what my roots are, my mom's family.

My poor dad can't join us, and he's already putting on his sad face. Man, i dunno if baby can leave without him being by her side. Well, he'll join us later, right? Poor dad n baby! They are inseparable, and yet...

I must drink coffee now, coz i don't wanna fall asleep in the plane, unless there's a super huge man hoggin' the seat next to me! I so hope for the window seat! And i pray all of us will be safe. I even had to remove my chain bearing the cross...yeah, Manila is THAT dangerous!

I'll really miss you guys too, yeah whoever reads my blog...u shall be missed! Only 2-4 peeps (4 is too much! LOL!)...so pathetic right? Anyway, will not be able to blog till the weeks are over...unless by some miracle i find a wifi spot or a cybercafe! LOL...sorry, i can't resist. I will, however be keeping a journal of my daily happenings...just for me! Coz without writing, i would be nothing...just nothing!

Okay, so i guess that's all...selamat tinggal Malaysia!
