Yesterday...All My Troubles Seemed So Far Away

Friday, July 17, 2009

Something about yesterday...it was hectic, but it was one of those days where you go, "Whoah!!! That was fun..."

So ok...for me, the best things are spontaneous...plans are great, of course...but i find that i have MORE fun when something is decided all of a sudden...LOL! By ALL OF US, mind you! Not when it's just ONE person deciding to go somewhere, inevitably forcing us to go along with the idea (out of courtesy, hehehe) *wink wink*

The day started with an 8am class, which ended exactly at 10am...on the dot! So how the hell are we supposed to make the next class, which is at 10am? In another faculty, mind you!!! So, we didn't make it on time...hahaha, but it's all good! The schedule has been changed! Loved the class though...learnt about food, my fave subject, LOL! In French...

So, after class...we had some lunch, then another class!!! Boy, i was almost going off to sleep at that time, BUT before that, we decided to go out somewhere...maybe for a movie? How about a fun time at a karaoke joint? Hahaha, so we did both! We wanted to go accompany a friend of ours who was fasting...so we could eat out! Fed up of cafeteria food...

And after everything, we ended up watching a night movie of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in this small cinema at Kajang!!! How's that!!! Lol, i'm just saying...the balls we had for watching a night movie, as transportation after 11pm is virtually non-existent! Luckily for us...we were 4 tough cookies, LOL! And yeah...2 of the 4 cookies were coaxed into staying at my dorm (and M's too)...yay!

Came back around 12am, which is early for me actually...but damn, it was pretty empty...i mean the streets of Kajang were so deserted, it seemed almost scary! And there was ONLY 1 taxi waiting there...thank God, there was at least ONE taxicab! Nothing like KL, where people and lights are on till the morning!

Initially: chilled at Starbuckeroos with A (M & F went to pray), and i saw a man wearing a black bandana...with his weird-ass shirt, he looked like a pirate, so i told A that "...there walks the pirate of Kajang" in which she LOL-ed! Yay...1-0!!! Meh, you had to be there to find it funny! :P

Harry Potter rocked!!! OMG, i can't wait to see the next installment!!! Of course, i'm not a reader of the series...but i love the movies! Yeah, Ron was looking pretty buff, hehehe...me likey! I kept teasing A who initially said that Draco Malfoy was handsome...i was like "WTF? Blind much?" then she saw him, and changed her mind...hahahahaha!!! He USED to be cute...USED to! He looks anorexic now. I call him her bf now, hehehe...and she pointed out that Harry's eyebrows look like that of Eugene Levy...which i TOTALLY agree with!!! I literally LOL-ed at the cinema at that moment...1-1!

Next time: longer hours on the karaoke please? So much skipping songs due to time constraints...hahahaha!!! Screaming rocks! Well, i better go before i vomit more nonsensical words!!!

Toodlez, bitches!

PS: My sis is getting an LG Cookie due her old phone breaking into 2...Hahahaha! Yeah, i'm so jealous! Damn, why couldn't my phone have spoiled at this moment when dad has some cash? Why, oh why!!!

PPS: Well, at least for now, they (you know who) aren't fighting...yay! God bless us! But i hope it doesn't go downhill once the cash flow comes to a standstill, like it always does.

All At Once...

Monday, June 15, 2009

So far, you must forgive me for my boring 'vacation' so far...it is super-duper lame, LMAO! But, i see a silver lining. It makes me appreciate life outside of home more...i tend to be more outgoing while at uni...don't know why...but i am! I think it's an energy-field thing. I don't get good energy at home...maybe it's the feng shui outta whack or something! LOL...but that's just me!

Looking forward to meeting my family...OMG, the days draw near, and i'm excited but scared. What if it becomes a crappy holiday? But i must keep my optimism in check! MUST keep the optimism in check!

When i come back...there are plans that need to be fulfilled...like my promise to cook for my friends...vacay with my girls...trip with my sis (not confirmed)...clubbin with some pals (i must go this time!!!)...movies, movies, movies...hanging out with my besties more often...

See? These plans MUST happen, or i'll give myself a kick in the ass!

Another thing...i saw his profile on facebook...OMG! He's a friend of my friend...Hahahaha...but yeah, i think he's graduated already, so no chance of bumping into him any time soon...too bad! All we ever did was talk and the whole "i-peek-at-u, u-peek-at-me" sorta thing...yeah, so if it's not meant to be, i'm not counting on that.

And what do you know? Many of my classmates are feeling nostalgic nowadays...i'm lovin' it! Catching up after the years is something fun! I contacted my former besties on Facebook, and i would say, we've all moved on...which is pretty nice. Well, them together-- not so...

I, however am glad that i still can say i keep in touch with them, lol!

Wow, seeing most of them...my classmates...is like, wow! Hahaha, sorry, that's all i can say. They're all so grown up...most of them are abroad, studying...and i'm here, in a measly public uni...hahaha! No regrets though...it's still the cheapest education you could get...so i'm set! The whizzing off to another country thing...i'll save it for later, and i'm certain i will achieve it!

And so, the next sem...must start on thesis!!! Yuxx...

To friends who have hopes, dreams and ideals...never give up on them, coz whatever it is...GOD can dream bigger dreams than you ever could for yourself! Oprah said that, and look where she is now! Keep that in mind, and dream on...and while you're at it, dream BIG! Love you guys...you make my life a sweeter place to live in! May you live long and prosper (i'm not a trekkie!)

Awesomeness

Friday, June 05, 2009

Well, you know how i looooove reading blogs, right? And one of my favorite Malaysian bloggers is Kenny Sia...i love his take on life and his hilarious, snarky commentary on anything and everything.

But what i couldn't forget was his post on his trip to Ireland...OMG, when he posted those awesome landscape photos, i was in awe...i mean, it's like it came out of LOTR or something. Well, as you all know, New Zealand IS Middle Earth...but yeah, i didn't see any photos posted in any of the blogs i've read...so this is the next best thing.

I shall go to these places in the future...my wish shall manifest...the cosmos will help me attain this! (word of affirmation helps, right? According to the Secret...it will!)

Ok, tried to upload the pictures, but it keeps failing...so, just use the power of imagination, k? Lol!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For now, i just discovered that our trip to the Philippines is not gonna be for 10 days, but 2 whole weeks!!! Wtf, that's a long time!!! And the worst thing is, we haven't actually planned WTH we're gonna do there, other than to go shopping, meet our family and getting our hair done, lol!

I've asked my mom about the beaches over there, but she said her province is not near any beaches...damn! I thought maybe we could go to Boracay or somewhere nice like that! I was already planning to buy a HUGE beach hat, ROFL...

Or Baguio...i hear the landscapes are amazing...

So my mom asked me to plan our agenda...but what the hell? I don't know any places! Heck, i would wanna go everywhere, if possible!!! And of course...must force KP to take me and sis to the cool places...minus parents, baby and abuelito! Sorry, it's about time we had some fun on our own!

And who can forget, i need some internet access to check my e-mails and stuff...must check on uni, the reunion, the so-called class-outing, exam results (GULP!), etc. Hopefully we'll put up near the CCs...

AND i can finally try Red Ribbon's Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese frosting; which i've seen numerous times on mom's Philippine-celebrity mags...omg, they look sooo...*drools*

AND get some pasalubong for friends...hopefully i won't find a T-shirt with the message: "My friend went to the Philippines and all i got was this stupid T-shirt"...coz i would soooo buy it!!! In bulk...hahahaha!!! T-shirts for everyone!!! I keed, i keed...NOT!

Damn, i can't wait to see where i came from!

Oh Baby, Oh Baby...Then it Fell Apart!!!

Saturday, October 18, 2008

4 out of 7 assignments done...no more presentations! Hurray!!! What's left, you ask...1 French quiz, followed by French listening exam & French oral test. The 3 unfinished assignments are;
  • Methodology in International Relations
  • Foreign Policy Theories
  • French II

I must say...never thought i'd finish...but if I don't, i'll be pretty much dead, won't I? Hahaha...

I'd usually be home during the weekends, but this time, I opted to stay because:

(a) I have a 6-hour replacement class on Sunday (6 freakin hours, dude!!! 6 HOURS!!!)

(b) Attempting to do my assignments at home is like trying to fit a Titanic ship into your

mouth...it could NOT be done! (external factors: TV, being a clown for a 1-year old,

etc...)

(c) Wanna cram at least 1/10 of my lessons into my brain!

(d) Revise for French test on Monday & Tuesday

Could this happen? Perhaps...I WILL NOT GET OUT OF THIS ROOM for unnecessary things...But now, i'm downloading shit...awww hot damn!!! Can you blame me? I need a break, but can't! I can hereby testify that...

My plan fell apart!!! (Cue to Moby's 'Extreme Ways', 2nd ed...)

How predictable.

My So-Called Life!

Monday, April 09, 2007

This is what I can say for NOW...

When you plan things, they either:

  • Work out well
  • Don't work out at all

Well, I planned for years to become a diplomat, or eventually an ambassador to my country, and go on to missions worldwide...but, now what? I am now, with a heavy heart opting not to...because a girl like me--a non-Bumi will never get the chance I deserve...due to this bullshit called affirmative action. Now, I understand that this works on a minority, but why does it apply to the majority in this country?

Plus, i've added the fact that i'm also half-Filipino, so i'm not sure if i'd even be considered being in the gov or even likely to be promoted. My uncle, a Malaysian of Sinhalese race has been in the gov body for over 20 years. He has mentored countless incompetent Malay-sians who have gone to be at the top of the chain.

How unfair is this? I have a lot to offer, and I don't need to waste my precious time, dude! If I join the foreign service, I need a guarantee that i'll be judged purely on my capabilities, and not my race! I need answers, but I doubt i'll get any...I don't even know who to ask!

As one dream slowly fades away, I now opt for Plan B...YES, there is a plan B. Remember how I love writing, talking (not as much as writing...but people seem to say I have the gift of the gab...hehehe! More like the gift of not shutting up!)?

I think that BA in Communication is the way to go! Either Taylor's or Monash...If I could get the full amount for Monash , which is VERY expensive via PTPTN, it would definitely be my choice. So, I need to do some research...I need much assistance, God, so you better take the wheel...soon, i'll have a baby sister, and you know babies...I can't burden my mom and dad with my crap.

I've heard a saying, "Wanna make God laugh? Make a plan..."

How true that is. Just goes to show that HE has a sense of humor...I dig that!
